more details. >> reporter: that is right sar remarks there are two different incidents involving temple stoons, one was a sexual assaults and when the police officers arrived, she was visibility shaken and had a head injury from being pushed against a wall, this happened just south of campus just outside of the patrol area for temple police, a few hours earlier a temple student was robbed a few blocks away. >> it's surprising that two really bad things happen on one night. >>. >> reporter: shots were fired on thompson at 10:00 p.m. >> it was right outside of my apartment so i heard the gunshots, less than two hours later a few blocks away, police were called out to the 1400 block of carlyle for a rape in progress, the victim a 20-year-old temple student.

>> i have someone, boyfriends and friends walk me around because i walk around here all the time at night. >> the victim was walked with a friend after leaving the library and they parted ways at broad and cecil b. moore and heard footsteps behind her, a man with a small silver handgun struck her arm and told her not to scream, he pushed her up against the wall and sexually assaulted her, several students we talked to asked we not identify them. >> it's scary you would be walking home from class or the library and you don't know if something will happen to you. >> it breaks my heard a young girl has to fear walking to and from class. >> police believe that two separate suspects were involved in the incidents, in the other case a 23-year-old was walking with two young adults when two

september afternoon out there, meteorologist, david murphy is outside, with word on what to expect. >> reporter: we have been talking about this for the last couple of days, it's nice that things stayed dry for our papal visit, but some is on the way, looking at stormtracker 6 live double scan down around salem, new jersey, in newcastle, delaware, you see some pop-up showers for the day, they are not lasting lon but putting down a good downpour in a hurry. the live view shows a lot of activity and more rain forming in dover and south of baltimore, it's on the way and gradually inching its way in our direction. 82 in new york city and 81 in philadelphia. every now and then a sunny break and it's feeling humid with the dew point of 70, that is border line oppressive.

we could get to 83 for a high and low 80s by 4:00 and 6:00, upper 70s and in the afternoon and evening some spotty showers are building and increasing a bit. 74 by 10:00 and some point later tonight we'll break out into heavier rain, during the afternoon a possibility of heavier cells that come through temporarily, this evening we are on the lookout for heavier stuff and it has some stuff on the other side of wilmington, and it could come in sooner than this. if you are going to the phillies, check ott radar out later on this evening, before you head out. when i step inside we have the latest track and changes in the progression of that tropical storm in the atlantic to our south, that looks to be a factor in our weather this weekend. >> the search is on in newcastle, delaware, for vandals

that caused quite a bit of damage to a jewish cemetery there. the cemetery is small but important to loved ones, david henry is live in minquadale with the details. >> reporter: yes, quite a bit of damage here, at the cemetery, almost 20 head stones turned over and damaged, other sacred artifacts destroyed here and left neighbors shaking their heads in disgust. >> they probably don't have a heart and they have disrespect. >> the damage was discovered by neighbors sunday morning, 18 stones pushed over one of them broken along with smashed pots. the man that tends this synagogue says it looks to be senseless teenage vandalism. >> it had to be a number of them, they are hard to push over, you can't lean on them and

spraying us almost immediately. >> reports reveal that the pilot had practiced that landing situation several times before but never actually had to perform it until last night. no one was hurt. the u.s. launched air strikes on a key northern afghan city after the taliban seized it. the taliban raised their flag in the city of 300,000, the first urban area taken by them since 2001. at least 16 people died and nearly 200 were wounded in the assault. now taliban gunman fanned out across the city, for anyone trying to escape. the city's fall comes as the president marches one year in office. rutgers up vertcame under another cyber attack yesterday, the fifth time in the last year, it affected email and the online course management system.

andering one. by 8:00 friday morning it's well to our south, it looks like in the latest track the most likely scenario will take it off our coastline on saturday and sunday and that means minimal impact but this morning there was another solution that had it coming directly to philadelphia, if that happens saturday and sun would be wetter around here and windy as well. most of our spaghetti plot models have it off the coast and it's a long way off, so we'll keep tracking that. today humid and showers around and 82 degrees and then the heavy rain comes in later and spilling into wednesday morning, 76 and damp on wednesday and 60 on friday and cool and damp and it looks like that tropical storm will be south of us on friday. and saturday watching the coast
